Father’s Day this Sunday is the perfect time to honor every Dad who loves and cares for his children. It’s not easy to be the best father you can be. But thank you for making a massive difference in your child’s life and every day of your child’s future.

Every joke you share, every hug you give, every moment that you listen patiently, every time you see things from your child’s perspective, every time you’re a role model for your child on how to handle anger responsibly and show up with integrity, you’re shaping your child into a person who will make you and everyone around them proud. We celebrate you today! Thank you!

So Dads, please accept our deepest heartfelt gratitude. May whatever you aim to accomplish in life be as fruitful as how you’ve raised your children.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY

Now, if you can’t have Red Oyster come and oystertain your backyard party, we have a special recipe you must try out this Sunday. It’s our Father’s Day Special Bourbon Butter Oyster recipe!

OK, this time, we assume you already have the oysters shucked and the pan ready – if not, don’t worry. Just visit this link for our baked oyster recipe, and you’ll see the whole process.

GRILLED OYSTERS WITH CHIPOTLE BOURBON BUTTER

Ingredients

  • Four tablespoons unsalted butter softened to room temp
  • Two tablespoons bourbon
  • Two tablespoon honey
  • Two garlic cloves, minced
  • One chipotle chili in adobo sauce, minced
  • Twelve oysters, shucked

Using a food processor mix the butter, bourbon, honey, garlic, and chipotle. Once you’re done with that, go ahead and place it in the fridge for the butter to solidify.

Father’s Day Oyster Barbecue

The grill must already be nice and hot; the weather will be perfect this weekend. Summer is right around the corner. Take the butter out of the fridge and put a small spoonful of butter on the oysters with a spoon. Place the oven tray layered with oysters onto your grill and watch as the butter melts and starts to bubble; leave the oysters on the grill for at least five to seven minutes or until you see the butter start to caramelize. Take the oysters off the grill and keep a lemon ready just incase you want to try it but I recommend having the first one just the way it is with the bourbon butter.
